Teaching Supervised Machine Learning Through a Tangible and Graphical User Interface

Research  –  AI – Education

Machine Learning (ML) is becoming an important technology in design but designers are not educated to work with ML as a design material. In this research, we conducted a comparative study to test if a Tangible User Interface is more effective than a Graphical User Interface in explaining three types of supervised learning to novices.

Course: Constructive Design Research
Team: Pablo Traversat, Stan van Kempen, Maud Oomen, Yuting Wei & Anniek Jansen
Supervised by: Rong-Hao Liang and Annemiek Veldhuis
